While many teens in Missouri are out living it up on the weekends, there is another group of youth who spend their time reaching out to people of all ages with the loving power of God! They call themselves Break Forth and they bring the love and acceptance of Jesus Christ, the saving power of God and the
knowledge of how to repent from our old ways and turn to the ways of our Heavenly Father.
Why do these young people spend their free time ministering to others? It is because of their strong desire to share the good news of what God has done in their own lives and that He can do the same in the lives of others.
What Is Break Forth?
Break Forth is an exciting and energetic Christian music group made up of youth and young adults.
Break Forth ministers through a unique mixture of Christian music, musical drama, choreography, sign language, puppetry and by sharing from their hearts what God has done in their lives.
How Did Break Forth Start?
Break Forth was originally established in the hearts of Jerry and Janice Doty after they had served as volunteer Children’s music directors for twelve years. It was their dream to establish a Christian music group that consisted of young people from many different churches and bring them together for one common goal — to see people all over the world won to Jesus Christ. Five years later, that dream became a reality.
Break Forth began in 1990 and continued on through the end of 1994. Stephanie Doty (youngest daughter of Jerry and Janice) then started working with teens at their church through choreography, puppets, human videos, drama and more. In 2000 Stephanie married and started a family of her own
and had the desire to pick up where her parents left off. Stephanie officially got Break Forth back up and running in 2022 along with the puppet team she was working with.
Musical Styles Of Break Forth
Break Forth uses a wide variety of musical styles which appeal to the entire family. From traditional to fifties, ballads to bluegrass, rock to rap. There are musical styles for everyone! The Break Forth program is about one hour long, however this time frame can be adjusted to meet your needs. Everyone from small children to senior citizens can enjoy the variety of music we perform.
How Can I Help?
There are two ways you can help Break Forth.. The first way is by praying for them as they minister to both the saved and unsaved alike. Your prayers are vital to the successful ministry of Break Forth. as these youth sacrifice much of their personal time to reach others for Christ. The second way you can help is by sharing with others about our ministry so that we can go and share the Love of God.
How Is Break Forth Financed?
The outreach ministry of Break Forth is supported through our church family at Just As I Am Cowboy Church, love offerings, individuals who believe in what Break Forth is doing as well as the youth themselves earning money to get what they need for the program and traveling expenses.
What Is In A Service?
In a service, Break Forth will minister through a variety of Christian music. We share this through singing,
choreography, sign language, musical drama, puppetry, and by sharing their personal testimonies.
What Others Have Said
Our church experienced a special time of worship with Break Forth. The various ways of celebrating the joy we can have in Christ, the ways they shared the Gospel were uplifting and appealed to all ages.
